EPA
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) develops and enforces regulations designed to protect human health and the environment. The EPA has regulatory responsibility under laws enacted to protect the nation’s air, waterways and drinking water, land, indoor environments and ecosystems. It also leads the nation’s environmental science, research, education and technology assessment efforts.
The EPA's Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance (OECA) pursues enforcement and provides compliance assistance to areas that yield the most environmental benefit or reduce risk to human health. Enforcement and compliance actions are organized around environmental problems and broad patterns of non-compliance rather than provisions of single statutes.
UL’s regulatory compliance solutions address a wide range of environmental issues, including protection of natural resources, hazardous waste management, pollution reduction, sustainability and toxic substance reporting. Our 90-course library addresses the intersection of environmental, health and safety issues. In addition to EPA-mandated training in topics such as environmental management systems, HAZWOPER and emergency response, UL provides the training resources to comply with intersecting OSHA, DOT and ethics requirements. In addition, we offer a multi-course program on risk management and guidance for EPA inspections.
